Shipping Policy

The large majority of our orders are shipped within 3 working days of the order, and delivered in 2-3 days from shipping. We ship through leading courier services, and Indian Post services, you can track your order online after it is shipped. As mentioned above, we ship most items within 3-5 working days of the order. However in some cases, we may take longer, up to 7 working days, to ship the order as we may have to procure it from some other bookstores or our distributor. In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver any items in your order, be assured that you will not be charged for that item, or you shall be refunded the full amount charged for the item.

We ship on all week days (Monday to Saturday), excluding public holidays.

To ensure that your order reaches you in the fastest time and in good condition, we only ship through reputed courier agencies and Indian Post services.

If you believe that the product is not in good condition, or if the packaging is tampered with or damaged, before accepting delivery of the goods, please refuse to take delivery of the package, and call us or email at sales@bookstreets.com. mentioning your order reference number. We shall make our best efforts to ensure that a replacement delivery is made to you at the earliest.

NOTE: In the event we have to cancel any items in your order, if you have paid using a credit card your credit card shall not be charged for the above cancelled item(s). If you have paid using a debit card/net banking, your bank shall be instructed to refund the amount within 3-4 working days. However, the actual credit to your account will depend on your banks processing time, which may be 7-15 days. If you do not receive a credit within this time, please check with your bank and let us know if you face any issues with the same.

EXCHANGE & RETURNS (CANCELLATION POLICY)

There may be certain orders that with bookstreets.com by global publishing house  cannot accept, and therefore, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order. Some reasons may include limitation on quantity available for purchase; errors in pricing or product information or any other issue which SP identifies for not accepting the order. We also reserve the right to ask for additional information for accepting orders in certain cases. We will notify you in case your order has been cancelled fully or partially or if any additional information is required to accept your order. Any defective copy received from our side should be informed us within 30 days from the receipt of the order and we will provide replacement of the same order.

Cancellation by Customer

Once an order is placed, it can only be cancelled before it is shipped to the provided destination. Once the cancellation request is received, we will initiate the process of refunding the amount to your account via the same payment mode that you had used to make the transaction or through cheque (amount would be refunded through cheque, only in cases where the debit/credit card used by customer while placing the order is not in use). Once the refund process is initiated, you will receive the refund amount directly in your account or through cheque.

NOTE: In the event that the amount has been deducted from your account but the transaction failed, we will refund the amount to your account at the earliest.

Shipping Policy for Domestic Orders (within India)

·         Domestic orders (within India) would be processed within 2 working days and shipped through a domestic courier company or Indian Post services as per the availability of services.

·         Most orders are delivered within 10 days from the date of invoice. However, there may be delay in delivering to remote areas / villages and other towns as delivery is purely vested with courier companies or Indian Post services as per the availability of services.

·         If you wish to purchase multiple items and ship them to two or more different addresses, please place them as different orders.

·         Once the products are shipped from our location, we will send you the shipper’s reference number (airway bill number/docket number) through email.

·         We are not responsible for any delay caused by any unforeseen time lags by the courier companies or Indian Post services in delivering the goods to the customer, or if the customer is not available at the time of delivery.

·         SP and its affiliates are committed to deliver the goods to you in time and in good condition. However, SP and its affiliates have limited liability in case of any loss of goods during transit. The carrier will bear any loss in transit only to an extent of a limit that may change from time to time.

·         We reserve the right to release information to local, state, central or international law enforcement officials when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or when required to, by order of a Court or authorized administrative agency.

Shipping Policy for International Orders (outside India)

All international orders (outside India) would be processed within 2 working days and shipped through an international courier company or Indian Post services as per the availability of services.

o    Most orders are delivered within 2-3 weeks from the date of invoice to foreign destinations. However, there may be delay in delivering to remote areas / villages and other towns as delivery is purely vested with courier companies or Indian Post services.

o    If you wish to purchase multiple items and ship them to two or more different addresses, please place them as different orders.

o    Once the products are shipped from our location, we will send you the shipper’s reference number (airway bill number/docket number) along with the courier company details through email.

o    You can track the status of your package through the courier’s website or by contacting their local customer service center. You can also email us for more information.

o    We are not responsible for any delay caused by any unforeseen time lags by the courier companies in delivering the goods to the customer, or if the customer is not available at the time of delivery.

o    The courier will attempt delivery twice at your specified shipping address, before they inform us that your package is not deliverable.

o    SP and its affiliates are committed to deliver the goods to you in time and in good condition. However, SP and its affiliates have limited liability in case of any loss of goods during transit. The carrier will bear any loss in transit only to an extent of a limit that may change from time to time.

o    We reserve the right to release information to local, state, central or international law enforcement officials when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or when required to, by order of a Court or authorized administrative agency.

Customs Clearance for International Orders

For some countries, if the need arises, our carrier will have to get customs clearance for your goods before delivering them to you. Any additional taxes, import duties or customs charges levied in this process will be charged to you. You are liable to pay the carrier for those charges in such cases.

So we recommend that you be aware of the laws and regulations governing the import of goods in the country where you want the items shipped.

The customer is responsible for customs clearance within the stipulated time failing which the goods would be destroyed by the customs department and no refund would be made.

Remote Area Surcharge (RAS) for International Orders

According to the policies of the international carrier, an additional surcharge may be levied if the shipping address is defined by the carrier as a remote area.

This Remote Area Surcharge (RAS) would not be charged at the time of placing the order. Instead, it would be informed to you before shipping the goods. In such case, you have to pay the surcharge through the website. If the surcharge is not paid within 3 days after our notification, then we would cancel your order and refund the amount paid towards the items in full.
